(Brief history of how college started )
TABORA (EA) POLYTECHNIC COLLEGE
Brief History
Inspired by the desire to help the youth of Tanzania excel in life and dreams as pertains to education, self –reliance, entrepreneur spirits and being good citizens – Mr Shabban Mrutu founded College in Tabora.
Mr. Mrutu requested to use the name Musoma Utalii College, from the Musoma Utalii College owner stationed in Musoma for promotion purposes – there is no business connection between the Musoma Utalii in Musoma and Musoma utalii in Tabora.
Humbly the college started with only 42 students on 2005, in rented facility owned by NSSF adjacent to Roman Catholic Cathedral in Tabora.
On 2012, the college managed to obtain its first provisional registration from NACTE, after attaining the highest standard needed for the better education performance in the country.
Through hard work, courage, persistence, team working and great love to the youth of Tanzania, the college was shifted to Lipuli area on 2014 where the founder had managed to install independent structures for the college – with modest library, laboratories, modern and high tech studio for those who are taking journalism and Mass Communication.
The college was blessed with the government of Tanzania after being assured by evidence that, the college has sustainably grown into its best in fulfilling academic and social duties to her students and the public of Tanzania. On 2015, the college had obtained the full registration from NACTE.
On 2019, the name Musoma Utalii College in Tabora – changed to TABORA (EA) POLYTECHNIC COLLEGE. As it is started before, Musoma Utalii College was used only for promotion purposes. After being well known for its excellence and better education the Advisory board and the management of the college wisely decided to change the name Musoma Utalii College Tabora to TABORA (EA) POLYTECHNIC COLLEGE)
